Make an Impact
Operate the pouch machine according to established standards while producing high-quality products that meet customer expectations and company goals.
This position is trained on SQF principles and is required to follow them and report through the chain of command and the non-conformance program any issues of food safety that they may encounter or observe.
What You’ll Do
• Set up and operate pouching machines in accordance with standard procedures
• Monitor, calibrate, and adjust machines to ensure high-quality production
• Read and understand job tickets and specification sheets
• Complete changeovers efficiently while minimizing waste
• Maintain operating speeds without compromising quality
• Meet throughput and waste standards set by the department
• Troubleshoot issues and perform routine repairs or assist maintenance
• Perform quality checks on finished products
• Record measurements and maintain accurate production and maintenance logs
• Communicate job status and updates between shifts
• Train and oversee assigned helpers as needed
• Collaborate with production teams to improve efficiency and meet deadlines
• Notify management of material or mechanical issues
• Assist with handling and proper disposal of materials, including hazardous waste
• Perform additional tasks as required
Operations / Compliance
• Follow all company safety, sanitation, and housekeeping policies
• Ensure proper guarding and safe operation of equipment throughout shift
• Handle and dispose of materials per plant procedures and RCRA requirements
• Properly label and manage waste containers with accurate hazard information
• Follow all SQF and GMP guidelines to keep the plant “customer ready”
Tools & Systems
• Pouching machines and related production equipment
• Production tracking and data collection systems
What You Bring
• Proficient computer skills and ability to learn new systems
• Ability to read a ruler (standard and metric)
• Strong troubleshooting, problem-solving, and decision-making skills
• Ability to work independently and lead when needed
• Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions
• Ability to read and understand safety data sheets and hazardous materials

Schedule & Work Environment
• Must be able to work weekends and possible evening and night shift
• Overtime may be required
